Most direct-to-consumer bedding start-ups follow the same millennial-targeted formula: cutting out the middleman to bring customers higher-quality, better-looking sheets for less. Boll & Branch isn’t most bedding companies, though. Founded in 2014, Boll & Branch is built around a transparent supply chain and better raw materials, working with fair trade organic cotton grown by a co-op in India. As first reported by Fast Company, Boll & Branch is now the “fastest growing organic cotton brand and the seventh largest overall consumer of organic cotton.” More importantly, it did so by appealing to a non-millennial, non-urban-based audience, and with more traditional designs.
Boll & Branch’s sheets start at $200 for a twin-sized set, available in percale, sateen and flannel varieties.
