When you’re adventuring outdoors, having cold hands isn’t just uncomfortable: it can be dangerous. Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding, ice climbing or setting up your family’s tent in winter, having full use of your hands is imperative.

Historically, disposable hand warmers have been the solution to keeping digits dexterous and ready for anything, but they’re wasteful and inefficient.

They may be small, but these reusable hand warmers can really bring the heat.

Luckily, just in time for fall and winter, Ignik, maker of innovative personal heating products, has introduced a convenient, pint-sized solve: the new Ripple Battery Powered Warmers.

Take them anywhere

These units may be diminutive at less than 3 inches tall and 1.8 ounces, but their tiny stature hides a big punch.

On their highest setting, these little guys reach a toasty 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and on their lowest, a delightfully warm 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Just pop one of these into each glove, and you’re ready for a winter adventure.

Heat is instant, and battery life is solid: the Ripples can last for around 12 hours on their lowest setting, and around three hours set to high. This means you’re covered for most day excursions, or a full weekend if you’re conscious of your settings.

A person wearing a dark camouflage jacket and olive green pants is holding an open small black case containing four red-orange devices. The scene is outdoors in a snowy environment, with snow-covered trees in the background. A pair of yellow and black gloves is visible below the case.
The zippered carrying case makes it easy to keep your Ripples organized and safe.

The Ripples can even get wet, thanks to their IPX4 water-resistance-rating. This comes in handy, considering they are designed specifically to fit in gloves, where moisture is all but certain.

Convenient, sustainable, built to last

The Ripple Battery Powered Warmers are rated for 600 cycles, so you’ll get plenty of use out of them — and keep tons of disposable hand warmers out of the landfill in the process.

Each six-pack replaces 3,600 disposable hand warmers, enough to fill a 52-gallon trash can — and costing approximately $4,500.

A hand is placing a small red device with a triangular logo into a navy blue zippered case. The case contains similar red devices and is positioned on a dark surface in front of a portable power station with multiple outlets and ports.
Charge all four or six of the Ripples at once, with one convenient cord.

The Ripple Battery Powered Warmers are available in four-packs, in addition to six-packs, and thanks to the Magnetic Charging Dock, they can be recharged all at once using a single cord, making it convenient to load up on heat before a big day outside.

Even the lowest temp setting maintains a toasty 90°F.

The zippered travel case keeps everything in its place and makes it easy to toss these in the car or suitcase before your next winter adventure.

Aside from camping and wintertime exploring, they would fit right in during fall football tailgating, too.

Availability and pricing

The Ripple Battery Powered Warmers are available now on Ignik’s site in the 4-pack ($130) and the 6-pack ($170) configurations.

Pro tip: If you’re getting a jump on holiday shopping, they’d make great stocking stuffers.
