Another week down, and, per usual, a bunch of new tech and gadgets have been announced.

This past week, Focal introduced an elite audiophile speaker system, Microsoft revealed its next-gen Surface devices, and Fluance announced its most high-end turntable to date. But that’s just scratching the surface.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the most interesting new releases and announcements you might have missed from the past week.

Focal Diva Alta Utopia

Focal’s Diva Alta Utopia is the most premium wireless active speaker system in the company’s Diva range, sitting atop the Diva Mezza Utopia ($69,000) and the Diva Utopia ($40,000). Like its predecessors, it’s a pair of floorstanding speakers that combines Focal’s loudspeaker expertise with Naim’s amplification and streaming expertise to create a super-high-performing, plug-and-play active speaker system. However, the Diva Alta Utopia is substantially larger and more powerful. The company claims it “redefines what you can expect from an all-in-one hi-fi speaker.”

Bang & Olufsen Beosystem 3000c (Dune Grey)

B&O’s vinyl hi-fi system pairs the brand’s Beogram 3000c, a restored and modernized version of its 1985-released Beogram 3000 turntable, with its Beolab 8 active speaker system. When the company introduced it in 2025, it only offered the system in one finish: grey aluminum. Now, it has introduced a second option in “Dune Grey,” which combines soft bronze aluminum with rich dark walnut accents. Only 100 will be made.

Sennheiser Accentum Clip

Sennheiser is the latest audio company to release its take on Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds. Like those, the Accentum Clip are wireless earbuds with an open-ear design so you can hear the world around you while commuting or working out. And, instead of conventional open-ear designs, each earbud has a flexible silicone design so that it clips to the outside of your ears. Like Bose’s offerings, Sennheiser’s clip-ons are positioned as premium options, capable of delivering excellent sound (thanks to their 12mm dynamic drivers) with advanced features, such as Dynamic EQ, so they automatically adjust their sound based on your listening environment. At the time of writing, no US pricing or availability has been released.

Snap Specs

Snap’s first augmented reality glasses, Specs, boast several upgrades over the prototypes the company previewed in 2024. They have a slimmed-down profile, longer-lasting battery (up to four hours) and a wider field of view. Like before, Snap describes the Specs as a wearable computer. They have built-in displays that overlay the lenses and allow you to browse the web, check email or record footage while wearing them. Snap claims this display “feels like a 24-inch desktop monitor when you’re working, or a 115-inch home cinema screen placed about 10 feet away when you’re watching a movie.” The Specs also support contextual AI, so you can look at an object, ask about it, and the glasses will pull up information about it. The Specs come in two sizes: 47mm and 52mm. They’re available for preorder now and are expected to start shipping this fall.

Monitor Audio Radius 4G Series

After more than a decade, the British audio maker has introduced a new and improved version of its Radius series, its most compact speaker range. Monitor Audio is calling the fourth generation of its Radius range a “comprehensive reinvention of one of the brand’s most celebrated compact speaker ranges.” As before, the updated Radius Series 4G is a speaker comprising three passive speaker models. But each model has been updated with modern aesthetics and modern acoustics.

Audio-Technica ATH‑WP900SE

The Audio-Technica ATH-WP900SE (or special edition ATH-WP900) is a pair of closed-back wired headphones that is a joint collaboration with Fujigen, the iconic Japanese guitar brand, as their earcups are made of the same maple hardwood that it exclusively uses to build its guitars. These special edition models feature Fujigen’s iconic 3‑tone sunburst lacquer finish and, according to the brand, pay homage to the “timeless beauty of classic instruments.” It marks the first time Audio-Technica has applied the popular lacquer finish to any of its headphones.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2026)

Microsoft’s latest generation of its Surface tablet, the Surface Pro, looks identical to its 2025-released predecessor. However, the newest models have been updated with Qualcomm’s X2 processors, which the company claims give the tablet up to 53 percent faster graphic performance and improved battery life (up to 15.5 hours). Unfortunately, the base models are $500 more expensive than their predecessors, and still don’t come with the Surface Pro Keyboard, which costs an extra $400. Available in three finishes: Platinum, Black and Dune.

Microsoft Surface Laptop (2026)

Microsoft’s 8th-generation Surface Laptop doesn’t rewrite the script. It looks exactly the same as last year’s predecessors, with the big upgrade being that it’s been integrated with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon X2 chip. According to the company, this helps it deliver up to 58 percent more graphics performance than the previous generation. Additionally, the Laptop offers longer-lasting battery life: up to 20 hours on the 13.8-inch model and up to 19 hours on the 15-inch model. The big downside? Both sized models are significantly more expensive last years models.

Fluance RT87

The Fluance RT87 is the most high-end turntable in the company’s Reference Series, and sits right above its previous flagship: the RT85N ($550). However, the RT87 represents a significant step up. Its most striking feature is its dual-plinth architecture, a first for Fluance; this creates a physical separation between the top plinth and the motor, which is mounted on the lower plinth, further eliminating vibrations from reaching the tonearm and cartridge. The RT87 is engineered with other features to ensure this accurate playback. And Fluance gives listeners the option to choose between two different MM cartridges: Audio-Technica’s AT-VM95ML or Ortofon’s 2M Blue.

Clearaudio N2

The Clearaudio N2 is a moving-magnet phono cartridge that’s essentially an upgraded version of the brand’s N1 ($175). It shares the same motor assembly, but instead of the N1’s aluminum body, the N2 has a 3D-printed body made of a specially engineered polymer that’s reinforced with carbon fiber (which the brand calls PETG-CF). This material combination gives the N2 a more rigid, lighter design, which helps minimize vibrations and makes it compatible with a wide range of tonearms. At $290, it’s one of the brand’s most affordable cartridges.
