There’s no shortage of riffs on Adidas’ most famous sneaker, but its latest look may be one of its most striking … in more ways than one.

The newest Samba OG to join the team features a nostalgic color palette, a modern lace micro-trend and a soccer-inspired tongue, giving it a vintage, pitch-ready look, without sacrificing its everyday appeal.

Pitch perfect

The Samba OG in Brown/Warm Vanilla/Maroon isn’t just a grounded, nostalgic take on Adidas’ classic everyday sneaker; it also introduces a few football-inspired details that give the heritage silhouette a sportier edge.

First, the soccer-inspired tongue, long enough to fold over the top of the laces, adds a standout twist to the typical build and reinforces the silhouette’s football roots.

There’s also the premium leather upper, whose rich brown color and sleek, soft feel lend timeless heritage appeal. The maroon heel overlay adds dimension to the earthy color palette.

Perhaps not surprisingly, stock of the latest variant of the popular sneaker is dwindling fast, with almost half of its size range sold out at the time of this writing.

The Samba OG is available in its newest colorway on Adidas’ website, retailing for $110.
