This Tiny Titanium Multi-Tool’s Rarest Function Boasts All Kinds of Handy Uses

Editor’s note: It has been brought to my attention that the comments section of this project is full of notes from backers upset that the updates stopped and they never received any product. I reached out to the creator for a response and nearly 48 hours later, I have not received one. While the campaign has ended, I would advise steering clear of any future projects from this creator. As you may have noticed, Kickstarter is literally littered with projects claiming to offer “the ultimate multi-tool.” 

While there is some compelling stuff being developed, there’s also a lot of overpromising and underdelivering, not to mention plenty of straight-up litter.

That’s part of what makes the Vornico 12-in-1 Mini EDC Titanium Multi-Tool so refreshing. 

It’s not necessarily boasting about being the biggest EDC breakthrough since the Leatherman PST. 

However, one of its functions in particular makes it so much better than your average keychain multi-tool. So let’s take a closer look.

The wrench connection

Lots of multi-tools offer box cutting and pry bar capabilities, so that’s not really where the Vornico stands out.

What’s much less common (though hardly unheard of) is its most noticeable function: a mini adjustable wrench.

That means this tough titanium tool can save your bacon anytime a nut or bolt needs to be tightened — or you need a 15mm wrench to loosen an axle to fix a flat bike tire.

However, it also delivers a bunch of little everyday uses that are super handy. It can be a precision dual-unit caliper, for instance, while its prying teeth enable it to serve as a mini nail puller.

It can also be attached to a phone to become a stand. That’s particularly cool because it’s bladeless/TSA-friendly, so you can use it to watch movies on a long flight.

Meanwhile, the reverse side can loosen a particularly tight pasta sauce lid or perform the most fundamental multi-tool feat: opening a bottle.

Bonus features

Weighing just over 0.6 ounces and measuring less than 2.4 inches, the Vornico can ride easily on your keychain until you need it.

In addition to the wrench-related tasks, it can do a number of other fun and handy little things too.

On the far end you’ll find a few standard built-in wrench sizes for tackling everyday jobs.

There’s also a luminous tube for spotting at night, embedded magnets (which can be used to attach accessories such as a level) and an integrated nail file.

Meanwhile, an easily accessible strike head enables you to break glass in case of emergency; it doubles as a box opener.

Last but not least, the embedded roller at the top offers something you may use most of all: an oh-so-satisfying fidget spinner.
