Toward the beginning of 2025, Böker dropped its drop-dead gorgeous BRLW Meteorite Damast pocket knife to much fanfare. Despite a robust release calendar, it remained among the German brand’s most exceptional offerings through the end of the year.

Now, the Solingen-based outfit is returning to that design with a new edition, the Böker BRLW Meteorite Damast Platinum Edition. Believe it or not, it’s even more upscale, refined and impressive than its initial launch.

Heavenly EDC

The element that set the original BRLW Meteorite Damast apart was its remarkable blade. Measuring 2.56 inches and featuring a subtle clip point shape, the knife was made with actual meteorite ore — specifically, a combination of meteorite iron and carbon steel.

That base blade has returned in this newest edition, complete with the same size, shape and stunning pattern. However, this one has one pretty significant difference: it’s finished with a platinum coating.

The most obvious difference between this one and its predecessor is that the platinum coating brightens up the blade, granting it an even more pristine appearance that “enhances the visual depth of the striking mosaic crossed Damascus pattern.”

However, it’s not all exceptional looks. The platinum finish also enhances the blade’s performance, providing increased resistance to wear and corrosion.

Titanic tool

The blade is a clear highlight, and it’s the chief difference between this edition and the original, but the rest of the knife is no slouch, either. In fact, it’s pretty spectacular in its own right.

Like the original, this version has titanium handle scales. They also retain the same precision-machine meteorite-inspired milling pattern, which looks spectacular and adds some grip. The titanium material also extends to the pocket clip.

Along with the milling pattern and pocket clip, the knife’s integrated frame lock — an iconic, reliable mechanism — also returns. So, too, does the low-profile flipper deployment.

Delivered in a premium display case alongside a certificate of authenticity, this may be the ultimate expression of bladesmith Chad Nichols’s stunning design.
