Christopher Ward is one of the most technically and visually innovative watchmakers in the game, independent or otherwise. The British brand has established a substantial collection of distinct, immediately recognizable designs that rivals some of the industry’s big, long-established names.

And yet, the brand’s new C60 Trident Luminère, created with watch expert and strap designer Adrian Barker, is now its best dive watch ever because it draws so heavily from the genre’s North Star, the Rolex Submariner.

Several of my colleagues and I are huge fans of Christopher Ward for many reasons, but foremost is the brand’s originality. At the same time, the Sub is a singularly iconic watch, so seeing the Lumière remixed with many of its details is irresistible.

This collaborative design by Christopher Ward and Barker, dubbed The Green Fifteen for a reason we’ll get to, strikes a brilliant balance between the brand’s original design and the professional appreciator’s eye for beautiful details.

The best gets better

An emphatic nod to the most iconic watch of all time is just scratching the surface of what makes this Christopher Ward’s greatest diver.

Everything outside of the dial and bezel remains true to the existing Lumière design introduced in 2024. The 41mm case and three-link, Oyster-inspired bracelet are made from Grade 2 titanium with a satin brushed finish.

The subtle, curved crown guard of the C60 Trident case design is intact, and the 300m water resistance is paired with a helium release valve for professional-grade use.

One update is that the caseback is signed with the B&J logo from Barker’s YouTube channel, Bark and Jack, framed by a gnarled texture borrowed from his grandfather’s pocketknife.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Green Fifteen is that, just like other Lumière references, it runs on the top-tier, COSC-certified version of the Sellita Caliber SW300-1 automatic movement. This no-date iteration beats at 4Hz, provides a 56-hour power reserve and is accurate to within -4/+6 seconds per day.

More than meets the eye

The Green Fifteen has a matte black dial and bezel insert that are slightly darker than the charcoal versions offered when the Lumière debuted. The Globolight lume block indices and hands are white, just like the charcoal reference, but the hour markers are updated to the dot-dash-triangle arrangement established by Rolex.

The 60-minute dive track on the bezel insert also reflects the Sub, featuring a dot-in-triangle pip. However, the track is fully lumed and graduated, and the triangle glows, rather than the dot.

As for the lume color, the collaboration is named The Green Fifteen because the first 15 minutes on the dive bezel, including the pip, glow green. The remainder of the bezel, along with the dial logo, hour markers, hour hand and seconds hand, glows blue. The minute hand is green to match the dive track.

One last update is hidden in plain sight on the dial. A Bark & Jack logo is located just above “CHRONOMETER” at 6:00, but it only appears under UV light. To fully appreciate this little detail and keep the lume charged, a pocket-sized UV torch is provided with the watch.

Availability and price

Of course, a two-piece woven synthetic textile strap from Barker’s Bark & Jack strap line, designed exclusively for this collaboration, is included. It is gray with a black rubber lining and a signed titanium pin buckle.

The C60 Trident Lumière was already Christopher Ward’s best diver, but remixing the 3D lume-block dial with details from the iconic Submariner put it over the top for vintage fans like me. Priced at $2,995, including the extra strap and UV-torch, this COSC-certified titanium diver just might be the best bargain in the entire genre.

The Green Fifteen is limited by production window, rather than a hard cap on the number. It is available for preorder from now until February 12 at noon EST. Orders will begin shipping out at the end of March 2026.
