Praesidus Watch Co. has built its reputation on a hard-to-argue-with premise: If you’re going to make a military heritage watch, use actual military heritage. For the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, the Phoenix-based brand is delivering its most literal interpretation yet. The dial of every A-11 LMUV is cut directly from the hood steel of a recovered WWII Willys MB — the U.S. Army’s go-everywhere utility vehicle that came ashore at Normandy on June 6, 1944. That hood carried multiple layers of paint over its lifetime, and Praesidus exposes them through controlled sandblasting, offering five dial variants that each reveal a different layer of the same original panel. No two are the same.

PraesidusAlongside the LMUV, the brand is also releasing an updated A-11 Utah Beach 82nd — 150 pieces with real Utah Beach sand integrated into the dial and a hand-painted D-Day scene on the upper half, plus 15 ultra-limited versions where figures, landing craft, and the Normandy coastline are painted directly onto the dial surface by hand, one at a time. Both collections ship June 6, 2026.
