West Elm Workspace

The new office furniture collaboration that’s bringing the high-end workspace to the masses.

Affordable, well-made design that isn’t exclusive to the home: that’s the concept behind West Elm’s new “Workspace” venture. The furniture company, founded in Brooklyn in 2002, is moving its expertise in home furnishings and aesthetics to the office space. To do so, West Elm has partnered with Inscape, a company that has over 125 years’ worth of experience in office organization and ergonomics.

West Elm Workspace currently has four collections: Mid-Century, Modern, Contemporary and Industrial. Each collection includes both executive and benching desks, conference tables, storage, office chairs, sofas and chairs for lounges and waiting rooms. The furniture doesn’t just look good; ergonomic details such as movable monitor arms, keyboard trays and contoured task-chair backs are essential parts of the collection. And while custom sizing isn’t available for the furniture pieces, over 20 different fabrics will be available for customers through Designtex.

West Elm Workspace products mirror the West Elm residential line’s ethos of high-quality, design-forward items at a relatively low price point compared to furniture makers like Herman Miller or Knoll. It’s more of the comfortable, stylish same: bringing luxurious furnishings to the masses. westelmworkspace.com
