As the first person to set foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong showed every child and this nation that big dreams and big goals can be as real as you make them. NASA gives tribute to the passing of a humble, reserved professional in a program that attracted type “A” personalities. Armstrong was well-liked and well-regarded by his fellow astronauts, but as John Glenn attests, also much-envied for his famous small step. But for a guy who earned his pilot’s license before his driver’s license, perhaps the destination wasn’t such a leap. Guy Noffsinger’s video interlaces poignant personal accounts from members of the NASA team with video and stills of Armstrong’s epic voyage, showing a fresh-faced clean-cut young man with an easy smile. First to the moon, but every bit a star, Neil Armstrong will be remembered as not only a pioneer, but also as a good man.
