Sonos Is Having a Surprise Sale on One of Its Most Beloved Speakers

You can snag one for nearly half its original price.

Sonos is having a rare sale on “certified refurbished” versions of its previous flagship Dolby Atmos soundbar, the Arc.

For years, this soundbar was priced at $999, but now, if you act quickly, you can snag one for nearly half that price.

Still a great soundbar

Obviously, the Arc is no longer Sonos’s flagship Dolby Atmos soundbar. That title goes to the Arc Ultra, which was released in October 2024 and is essentially a new, improved version of the Arc. But at $1,100, it’s also more expensive.

That said, Sonos’s Arc remains an excellent Dolby Atmos soundbar. In fact, since its 2020 release, it was widely considered one of the best — if not the best — Dolby Atmos soundbars for most people.

Because the Arc Ultra and Arc were so similar, Sonos started phasing out the latter earlier this year. And, as of right now, it no longer sells new models on its website. Both black and white models are “Out of stock.”

However, if you’re willing to go the “certified refurbished” route, you can get a great deal.

Certified Refurbished

Each of these certified refurbished soundbars has been inspected, tested and approved by Sonos’s audio experts, so they should sound and work as good as new.

Plus, when you purchase any certified refurbished Sonos product, Sonos says that it donates a portion of the sale to “high-impact nonprofits focused on environmental preservation and restoration, including Rainforest Connection.” So it’s helping a good cause, too.

If you’re looking for an even better deal, Sonos is also selling certified refurbished versions of the Arc SL. This is the same Arc soundbar, but it lacks built-in microphones and therefore doesn’t support smart assistants, such as Sonos Voice Control or Alexa.

These certified refurbished soundbars are available now from the company’s website. The Arc is available in white or black models, while the Arc SL is only available in “Shadow,” which is a dark grey.
