“Parliament has collapsed. The tax office has collapsed. Schools have collapsed. Hospitals have collapsed.”
— President René Préval of Haiti
If you’re going to consider spending your money on one thing here at Gear Patrol today, we personally ask that you make it a donation to the Haiti Relief fund. Haiti, a country, that’s faced an inordinate number of challenges in its history has been hit with its worst earthquake in 200 years, 10 miles South of Port-au-Prince, affecting an estimated 3 million of the country’s residents. Relief at this point is still being coordinated, but you can take part by contributing a small donation. We ask that you participate, as have we. It’s as easy as sending a text message.
How To Help: Simply text “HAITI” to “90999” on your cell and you’ll automatically donate $10. The amount will be charged to your next bill. It’s simple. If you prefer donating directly to the Red Cross, you can do so here, or learn of other ways to help.
