Gear Patrol is seeking a full-time Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team. The Social Media Coordinator is an essential role, acting as Gear Patrol’s voice and visual identity on external platforms. Success in this position comes from an obsessive attention to detail, quick critical thinking skills and strong creative instincts.
Qualified candidates must have a proven track record in community management and growing followings on platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. This position will be responsible for executing organic and paid social media and search campaigns, as well as leading the creative voice and copy for all channels. Candidates must have an “always-on” mentality, understanding of the fact that social media conversations can happen at any time of day or night. Responsibilities:
- Help grow Gear Patrol’s audience and brand reputation across all relevant properties.
- Implement and coordinate Gear Patrol’s social media publishing strategy for existing editorial, content studio and native advertising projects.
- Schedule daily posts across social media platforms and manage the social media calendar.
- Work with the editorial team to coordinate and/or execute complementary social media opportunities that arise during the content production process.
- Pitch and coordinate exclusive and/or “live” social media content across assigned platforms.

The editorial associate role is an entry-level position with significant opportunities to learn the trade from industry veterans. Opportunities include researching and writing daily editorial franchises, as well as providing production support for tentpole editorial projects, including the quarterly Gear Patrol magazine.
