Malle W. Trousseau Oyster Shucking Kit
As with scallops, the rewards of shucking your own oysters are twofold: First, oysters are delicious. Second, there’s both satisfaction and a certain authority to be had from handling that little knife properly. French cooking ware designer Malle W. Trousseau’s shucking kit comes with a handsome leather hand shield designed to cover the whole surface of the hand, and the knife itself is a thing of beauty. mallewtrousseau.com ()

Lost Spirits Distillery x Bounty Hunter Wine & Spirits “Colonial American” Rum
Forget what you think you know about rum. California’s Lost Spirits Distillery takes the under-appreciated spirit back to its roots, distilling grade A molasses for a product in the original style born of the strife-ridden Colonial era; their most recent “Navy Style” rum is aged in Cabernet barrels for notes of charred oak, cola, grapefruit, vanilla, cherries and sarsaparilla — and it’s cask strength at 68% ABV. $100

Bespoke Post Alcohol Infuser
Those unwilling to splurge on the genuine alcoholic article can fake it with Bespoke Post’s infusing rig, simply named “Infuse”. The decanter, which carries 550 milliliters of booze, is hand blown from lead-free crystal, while the infusing rod is made from lightweight borosilicate glass typical of lab equipment. Simply pour your preferred hooch into the decanter and fill the infusing rod with whatever product you please — whether you’re infusing vodka with fruit or herbs, or using oak chips to replicate that barrel-aged flavor. $45

Red Wing Work Chukka
Red Wing Heritage has announced a handsome new colorway for their burly work chukka model: oil-tanned Charcoal Rough & Tough leather with a creamy white Atlas Tread outsole and gold-and-tan laces. Like previous models, the work chukka features Goodyear welt construction for a lightweight fit. Until they hit US shores, you can take a look on Red Wing’s Amsterdam website. redwingamsterdam.com

Hipgnosis Portraits
Dark Side of the Moon. Houses of the Holy. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Hipgnosis largely defined the visual aesthetic for what most consider ’70s classic rock. Hipgnosis Portraits (Thames & Hudson) tells the story outside of the frame, revealing the details behind several iconic shoots throughout the collective’s history, featuring 366 full color and monochrome illustrations and a foreword by Robert Plant. $43

Seawall Shirt Makers
Seawall was founded by a powerhouse Portland, Maine clothing couple: Daniel Pepice of Rogues Gallery and Brook DeLorme of organic lingerie brand Brook There. Longtime Portland residents, their new endeavor is a line of button-downs blending a strong New England coastal heritage — rainy colorways, buttons made from shells — with Japanese, English and American fabrics. seawallshop.com
