On the Radar
Reveals, New Launches and Gear
Hilleberg Niak 1.5
Family-owned Hilleberg has released their newest tent as part of their Yellow Label Series, the Niak 1.5. The one-to-two person tent is ideal for three-season use and features Hilleberg’s lightweight Kerlon 600 fabric and DAC NSL 9 poles. The combination of strength and ultralight materials makes it the perfect tent for backpackers who count every ounce. The tent also features a seemingly unimportant vestibule, however when it is pouring rain and all of your gear is soaking wet and dirty, it’s nice to be able to keep it sheltered outside of your sleeping area. The tent will be available from Hilleberg in the spring of 2016.
Leki Breeze Folding Chair
Leki have taken their knowledge of high-performance lightweight trekking poles and have developed a new product: the Breeze folding chair. Available later next month.
Manfrotto Off-Road Walking Sticks
Shooting stable photos while on the trail can be difficult if you want to shed weight and ditch your tripod. Manfrotto has solved this issue with their new Walking Sticks that feature a standard tripod mount on top of the grip.
Electric Sunglasses S-Line
Electric have taken some of their best-selling lifestyle shapes and added features from their performance models creating a line of sunglasses that do it all. Coming this fall.
High Sierra Karadon Series
High Sierra are releasing a new line of packs for every adventure called the Karadon Series. The packs range in size from 5 to 65 liters and will be available in Spring 2016.
Adidas Terrex X-King
Continental Tires has teamed up with adidas to bring you the Terrex X-King, a mountain runner that acts as a mountain bike tire for your foot. Available spring 2016.
