Luminox Expands its Military-Grade Watch Collection with a Fresh Colorway

The MIL-SPEC 3355 was built to the exact technical requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense. The new aesthetic deep blue dial is a bonus.

Most watches claim to be tough, but the Luminox MIL-SPEC 3355 has the paperwork to prove it.

Built to the technical requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense’s own military specification standard, it clears the strict criteria for sourcing, fabrication, material, durability and quality. The deep blue dial and yellow accents pay tribute to the DoD insignia, but they serve a functional purpose too: a highly legible base with instant readability in any condition.

The 46mm CARBONOX™+ case and Grade 2 micro-sandblasted titanium rotating bezel deliver an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio with resistance to shock, saltwater corrosion, and 300 meters of water pressure. Inside, the military-grade, Swiss-made ETA F06.412 quartz movement runs for 84 months on a single battery. HeavyDrive delivers a counter-impulse on impact to prevent the hand from skipping, while PreciDrive’s thermo-compensation unit adjusts motor pulses to temperature changes, holding accuracy to +/- 10 seconds per year.

Luminox Light Technology — self-powered tritium illumination across the hour markers, hands, and bezel — glows constantly for up to 25 years without an external light source for visibility in total darkness. The yellow second hand adds SuperLumi-Nova® to the arrow tip for extra low-light readability.
