Field NotesField Notes “1943” Memo Books
Field Notes debuts its first horizontally bound memo pads based off the Armed Services Edition (ASE) books issued to US soldiers during the Second World War. The covers take on the red, blue and yellow palette of ASEs, while the interiors feature 48 pages on 60#T Domtar Cougar Natural stock.
WaterField DesignsWaterField Designs Bowery Leather Backpack
The San Francisco-based bag maker has introduced a stylish, high-end backpack for professionals. It’s made almost entirely of full-grain leather and features a sculpted silhouette that allows it to fit up to two laptops; there are padded sleeves for a 16-inch and a 13-inch laptop. Another neat feature is its self-finding Fidlock buckle that automatically snaps together, making it easy and convenient to close, and it also adds an extra layer of theft protection because you need specific knowledge to open it. It’s available in three finishes: Black, Chocolate or Grizzly (tan).
PuffinPuffin X Topo Designs Fleece + Backpack
Could keeping your drink cold look any cozier? The Puffin x Topo Designs Fleece + Backpack shrinks the popular fleece down to can size, and is made with real Topo Designs fabrics and complemented with a tiny, full functional Rover Pack. The tiny little backpack is removable, so it can be used separately, but this limited-edition collaboration is truly better together. Outfit your favorite 12-ounce or 16-ounce can (or 12-ounce bottle) with this functional little fleece, and stuff the backpack with a snack for the road.
HyundaiHyundai CRATER Concept
Hyundai just revealed its ambitious take on a dedicated, all-electric off-roader with the CRATER Concept. Revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the CRATER Concept not only hints at the Korean automaker’s aspirations to make a Jeep Recon or possibly even a Toyota 4Runner competitor. Hyundai’s executives also said it previews plans to expand the automaker’s XRT line of all-terrain and off-road biased production models, such as the latest IONIQ 5 XRT, Santa Cruz XRT and the Palisade XRT Pro. Meaning, you can most certainly expect to see more serious all-terrain-capable production models from Hyundai in the near future.
Blue OwlRocky Mountain Featherbed x Warehouse HBT Down Vest in Indigo
Few brands do “Japanese Americana” better than Rocky Mountain Featherbed. This collaboration updates the Christy Vest with a herringbone indigo-dyed denim from fellow Japanese brand Warehouse. The Western-style yoke is a single piece of horsehide leather secured with a double stitch. It has solid brass snaps, two exterior patch pockets and one interior zipper pocket.
