Titaner 5-Layer Titanium Frying Pan

From multi-tools to space pens to oven trays, the mad scientists at Titaner are on a mission to prove everything’s better with (meticulously engineered) titanium — including this potentially game-changing kitchen essential. Why five layers? The “super-burned” surface is highly corrosion resistant and surprisingly nonstick. The next three are a multilayer composite structure of pure titanium, aluminum and stainless steel that addresses the biggest issue when cooking with titanium — hot spots — by delivering heat rapidly and evenly to every part of the pan. Lastly the outside is a ceramic coating added through nano-particle thermal spraying technology that imparts not only color but scratch-resistant durability. If you are intrigued, you are not alone. The project has already raised more than $142,000 on Kickstarter with 31 days to go.

Dirtbag Billionaire

Dirtbag Billionaire by New York Times journalist David Gelles sets itself apart from other Patagonia accounts by examining how Yvon Chouinard’s personal values shaped the company far beyond typical business narratives. Rather than focusing purely on commercial success, Gelles delves into Patagonia’s unprecedented, sometimes contradictory evolution under Chouinard—blending investigative reporting and analysis to reveal the ongoing tension between activism and corporate growth. The book highlights not just the company’s environmental initiatives and ethical choices, but also the challenges and dilemmas that defined its most pivotal moments.
