Subaru might’ve just made life easier for Crosstrek fans dealing with today’s skyrocketing costs of living. Instead of slowly creeping prices up for the new model-year, the Japanese automaker held its numbers steady.
While it’s common practice for carmakers to raise prices year-over-year (for whatever reasons that may exist), it’s always a relief when automakers don’t. Especially during these expensive times.
The Crosstrek remains an affordable favorite

For the 2027 model-year, the Fuji Heavy Industries-owned carmaker rolled out some minor updates for the Crosstrek. However, despite being with us since 2022 in its current form, it isn’t quite as comprehensive as a midcycle refresh.
Rather, Subaru candidly announced that the Crosstrek will remain priced at $26,995 for the base model (without shipping destination fees). Not only does it buck today’s cringy trend of rising costs, it also adjusts the Crosstrek range a bit.
