It's safe to say that 2020 has not gone how the automotive world (or anyone else) intended. But there are still a few months left of the year, and with it, some exciting cars that are starting production and should be arriving at dealerships in the near future — hopefully, before the year closes out.
Here are seven cars that we can't wait to drive before the end of the year.
2021 Aston Martin DBX
Lamborghini and Rolls Royce have had tremendous success releasing high-performance SUVs. Now it's Aston Martin's turn with the DBX. It's the car James Bond would drive...to his country estate on the weekend...with his dogs.
2021 Cadillac Escalade
Sure, Cadillac is doing some stuff in the future with EVs. But their flagship vehicle is still the Escalade, which is all-new for 2021 and packs a massive 38-inch display and a 36-speaker sound system.
2021 Ford Bronco Sport
The full Bronco hogged all of the attention at the reveal. But the accessible crossover called the Bronco Sport looks like an impressive (and heavily customizable) vehicle in its own right. It should hit dealers by late 2020.
2021 Genesis GV80
2021 Land Rover Defender
Land Rover teased the new Defender for what fe;t like forever. Then we got to see it. Then the pandemic delayed the rollout. We should finally get behind the wheel later this year.
2021 Ram 1500 TRX
Ram is coming after the Ford F-150 Raptor with a badass 702-horsepower, Hellcat V8-powered desert race truck edition of the Ram 1500. Ford has an epic response coming — but while we might be waiting for that for a while, Ram's super truck will be out later this year.
2021 Volkswagen ID.4
Almost every manufacturer seems to be planning an affordable, family-compatible electric crossover. What makes Volkswagen's different? Theirs will be in showrooms by the end of 2020.
