It’s hard to avoid the onslaught of bad news that seems to be flooding the world these days. If you happen to be in the market to buy a car right now, however, there’s a bit of good cheer to be found out there. Carmakers, in their desire to keep sales flowing, are offering better deals on new vehicles than they have in years — or, in some cases, ever.
While long financing terms have become common in the last decade, automakers have begun pushing that to new extremes in 2020, with many offering qualified buyers up to seven years to pay off their new rides. Many are also offering those loans at a supremely delightful 0% APR — which means, thanks to inflation, you can actually wind up saving money over time versus paying cash outright. And some companies are even offering both those opportunities at the same time.
Still, even those companies merging those two deals don’t always offer them on their best models — and sometimes the cars they do offer them on aren’t worth it, even at these amazing prices. So we’ve pulled together a list of the best cars, pickup trucks, SUVs and other passenger vehicles you can walk into a showroom (or, in many cases, buy online or over the phone nowadays) for 0% APR and an 84-month loan term.
(A note: In some cases, manufacturers are restricting these deals to outgoing 2019 models, so we’ve noted that where relevant.)
