Canon has long set the bar for full-frame DSLR cameras. They’re used by some of our favorite adventure photographers, as well as amateurs, too, and we recommend them for anybody in the market for great DSLR at a relatively low price. Neither of Canon’s 6D and 5D Mark III DSLRs are the latest and greatest (both are several years old), but they’re still fantastic cameras and now they’re at the lowest prices we’ve ever seen. You can pick up the 6D (body only) for $999 on Adorama, which is $700 off its normal $1,700 MSRP. Or you can buy the 5D Mark III (body only) on B&H Photo for $1,999, which is $800 off its normal $2,799 MSRP.
Both of the above are good deals and we’re not sure how long they’ll last. Also, since both deals are “body only,” we’ve found a great deal on Amazon for an advanced two-lens kit (with 50mm f/1.4 and 17-40mm f/4L lens) — save $300 here.
