This Upright Dyson Vacuum Is More Affordable than Ever Today

Though the brand sees them as a thing of the past, Dyson’s upright vacuums are what made Dyson’s name, and this one is one of the best.

What is this vacuum? A $250 upright, corded, bagless Dyson. What does that mean from a functional, day-to-day cleaning perspective? At a basic level, it’s the Dyson to buy if you live in a space larger than a typical apartment, are prone to allergy and asthma-related issues and want great products for less money.

Dyson’s cordless vacuums — though very effective while operating — are battery-dependent, and can’t run for more than 40 to 50 minutes on the lowest suction setting. The corded variety, though older, allow you to clean at peak suction for as long as you like (this is especially useful if you have pets that shed, as you’ll need max suction to untangle the hair from carpet and rugs). It’s also certified asthma and allergy-friendly, as the whole machine is essentially a giant HEPA filter.

On top of this being the cheapest we’ve ever seen this particular model (even on Amazon) — more than 50 percent its retail price — it’s also a bagless upright vacuum, meaning you won’t have to pay for bags ad nauseam. It’s available today (with free shipping) on Home Depot’s website.
