Travel is compulsory for skiers. Even for those lucky enough to live in mountain towns where the drive to the lifts may be shorter than the commute to work (or perhaps they’re one and the same), the allure of unfamiliar terrain will always compel skiers to set off in cars and airplanes for distant ranges. Maybe that’s why Rocky Mountain Underground, a small Colorado ski company, managed to make an excellent travel bag in the BRFCS.
The BRFCS isn’t a ski bag though. Sure, with 35 to 50 liters of volume it’s big enough to fit a pair of ski boots if you need it to, but it excels as a replacement for your roll-aboard suitcase. Its interior contains compartmentalized storage for clothing, smaller zip pockets for necessities and essentials and a false bottom for discreet carry. It also has a padded laptop sleeve and a removable compression strap with hardware that doubles as a bottle opener. To carry it, you can either use the tuck-away backpack straps and hipbelt, a shoulder strap or the briefcase-style handle.
For Cyber Monday, Huckberry is offering the BRFCS for 30-percent off, bringing it’s price from $199 down to $140.
