Samsung’s Q90R TV is on sale right now, and normally we wouldn’t publish a deal on such a ginormous TV — how many people are actually shopping for an 82-inch TV, right? — but it’s such a nice TV and it’s discounted so much that we felt we had to. Both Samsung and Best Buy are currently selling the 82-inch Samsung Q90R for $4,500, which is $2,000 off its $6,500 MSRP, but you can find the exact same model on eBay for $3,749. Again, that’s a ridiculous deal.
The particular Samsung Q90R in question is a 2019 QLED TV, which is Samsung’s alternative to an OLED TV, and is essentially one of the nicest TVs you can buy. It’s extremely bright with excellent contrast, and it’s also a very thin TV; Samsung has a separate box that houses all the ports (HDMI, Ethernet, antenna/cable, etc.), called the One Connect box, so it can make the TV as thin as possible.
More Samsung Q90R TV reviews:
• “The Samsung Q90R is an excellent TV for mixed usage. It will perform equally well in a dark room, for movies or HDR content, and in a bright room, for TV shows or sports. If you’re a gamer, the Q90R is an excellent choice as it is very responsive and has some nice gaming goodies.” — Dimitris Katsaounis, Simon Barbier and Yannick Khong, Rtings.com
• “The Samsung Q90R series combines remarkable contrast with excellent color performance out of the box for one of the best pictures you’ll find on an LCD TV.” — Will Greenwald, PCMAG
