Update: AT&T’s supply of Apple TVs is now sold out.
Apple sells the Apple TV 4K, its best digital streamer, in two different configurations. There’s the 32GB option, which costs $179. And there’s the 64GB option, which costs $199. Right now, however, AT&T is selling the 32GB option for just $90. That’s a crazy good deal.
You might be wondering if 32GB of storage is going to be enough — the answer, most likely, is “yes.”
The 64GB option is enticing because you can double the storage for just $20 extra, however, most people won’t need that extra storage. Unless you plan on using their Apple TV 4K for gaming (say, if you’re playing a lot of games on Apple Arcade), or maybe you use a ton of different apps, there’s really little need to get the extra storage. As long as your Apple TV 4K has a good internet connection, you’ll be fine. (Also, the Apple TV 4K doesn’t actually let you download and store 4K movies, so if you were planning on doing just that to watch offline later, sadly, you can’t. )
The Apple TV 4K is the perfect set-top box for anybody committed to the Apple ecosystem, especially if they’re planning on subscribing to Apple TV+, which just launched today. If you were ever thinking about buying one, this is the best deal we’ve seen.
If there’s a catch, it’s that if you buy an Apple TV 4K from Apple, you’ll get a one-year subscription to Apple TV+ for free.
