The first at home body scanner has arrived.

You wake up, walk to the bathroom, step on the scale and hop in the shower — it’s a routine. But what are you getting out of it? Even if you don’t weigh yourself all the time, it can be hard to know what’s going on with your body when you’re only working with one number. While how much you weigh tells a story, it’s not the entire book. Naked Labs wants to change that and give you enough information for you to take your health into your own hands. It’s the world’s first at-home 3D body scanner, but all it really is is a mirror and a scale.

I tested it out earlier this week; the scale isn’t massive, and the mirror will blend into any bathroom or closet — it could work in any bedroom as well. Open the app, align the scale, stand on it and hold still for less than one minute as it spins you around to measure every part of your body. You don’t want to wear anything more than your base layers for this. Using Intel RealSense technology, the sensors in the mirror use infrared light to produce a 3D model of your body that’s delivered directly to the app within five minutes after the scan. The interface makes it easy to compare days and keep track of all the numbers. And there are a lot of numbers — the app tracks your body fat, weight, lean mass, fat mass and individual muscle sizes (on both sides of your body). Check out the size of your shoulders, chest, left and right arms, waist, stomach, hips, left and right upper and lower thighs, and left and right calf muscles.

In the past, these measurements were only accessible via a high-end gym membership, available at places like Equinox, or David Barton’s TMPL gym. Now, you can access all of this at home. If you’re looking to fine tune a specific part of your body or drop some pounds, Naked Labs believes that it can help you. Reserve one now for just $250.
