Chameleon Cold-Brew, a purveyor of organic, ethically sourced, ready-to-drink coffee, has introduced at-home brewing pods that make steeping custom cold brew just-add-water easy. The full kit yields four batches of cold brew concentrate (two pods per 12 ounces of water) or eight regular-strength servings (one pod per 9 ounces of water).
While smooth, low in acidity and perfectly balanced on its own, customization — like adding milks, syrups or spices — is encouraged. Chameleon also notes that the kit can be used to make hot coffee by tearing open a pod and brewing a pour-over with 10 ounces of water.
