When the AeroPress landed in 2005, it quietly rewired the way people make coffee. A simple, affordable, go-anywhere tube turned into a cult fixture of specialty cafés and backcountry campsites, beloved for the rare combo of convenience, control, and genuinely great cups.
Lately, the brand’s been busy. A premium model was released last fall, followed by the travel-focused AeroPress Go and Go Plus kits earlier this year. Fans embraced both, but neither scratched the itch that’s lingered for years.
Then, earlier this month, AeroPress finally unveiled the accessory loyalists have been asking about for nearly two decades—delivered in a polished, premium package that left the community equally impressed and shellshocked.
Purpose-built and road-ready

Threads addressing “what grinder should I pair with my AeroPress” are littered across the r/AeroPress or r/pourover communities, and for years, the responses have been mainly the same.
Recommendations for portable burr grinders from boutique brands like 1Zpresso and Timemore, as well as a selection of other coffee equipment startups, have remained the default reply. Now that could soon change.
AeroPress has now finally introduced its own portable grinder, aptly named the AeroPress Manual Coffee Grinder.
