Research shows that humans have been cooking with fire since somewhere between 780,000 and 2 million years ago, so you could say it’s, ahem, baked into our DNA.

Unfortunately for our early ancestors, there weren’t luxury-minded, professional grade live-fire ovens available to elevate their prehistoric cooking experience.

Emberhaus is hoping to forge a new category of outdoor living, where craftsmanship and luxury collide.

Fortunately for us, we’ve got Emberhaus, a new luxury brand from the Bobby Brennan, the visionary behind the Kamado Joe grill. The first release from the new, luxury-minded brand takes cooking with fire to a new level.

Fire it up

Emberhaus is on a mission to combine professional-grade performance with architectural-grade design to create high-end products that transform the modern outdoor space.

Its first release, the Fire Oven, is a first-of-its-kind charcoal oven for the home, inspired by the same technology used in top commercial kitchens worldwide.

Designed and assembled in Athens, Georgia, crafted from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and refreshingly analog by design, the Fire Oven’s thick, insulated walls and convection, conduction and radiant heat work together to grill, roast, smoke or bake whatever’s on the menu.

The 400-pound beast is capable of a wide temperature range, starting at 175° and climbing all the way to 900° Fahrenheit. The proprietary EmberFlow vent system allows for control of the flame, and the built-in ability to position embers right where you want them means total control over how you cook, from high-heat searing to gentle radiant heat.

Intuitive visual controls and split cooking surfaces allow for an elevated, immersive cooking experience, and the intentional lack of screens, Wifi or Bluetooth connectivity complement that approach and help lock you into the moment.

Cleanup is a snap with the Fire Oven, thanks to some thoughtful mess-management details. Drippings are captured and burned off in the charcoal layer, while removable ash trays are intentionally no muss, no fuss. Plus, the split cooking surfaces are dishwasher safe, so you can load them right into your machine when you’re finished cooking. (Just scrape off debris first.)

Designed to last

Unlike other grills that rust or break down after years of use, with proper care, the Fire Oven is designed to last for decades to come. Emberhaus chose materials that will never rust, while finishes are available in fire-tested colors and trims.

Speaking of materials, the Fire Oven is fully customizable from its architectural colors to trim options to signature hardware.

Customers can also opt for either the free-standing oven or invest in two forthcoming cooking stations: the Fire Oven Beam, for those short on space, or the Fire Oven Haven, for chefs who require a true culinary command center.

As if this high-end oven isn’t enough to take in on its own, Emberhaus plans to expand its collection beyond the Fire Oven. The brand will introduce a wider range of open-flame products next year, with its next product scheduled for Spring 2026.

Availability and pricing

The Fire Oven by Emberhaus is available for order now, starting at $14,750.
