If Bass Pro Shops Sold Nikes, These Camo Air Force 1s Would Be an All-Time Best-Seller

One of Nike’s most iconic shoes gets a glow-up that’s sure to be a big hit with sneakerheads and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

In the grand scheme of Nike’s history, few of its offerings come close to the cultural impact of its Air Force 1s. Put plainly, they’re among the most iconic sneakers ever released. And they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Among their latest iterations is a trio that combines the classic streetwear style with camouflage patterns, which, until recently, were more associated with hunting blinds than city streets.

Now that realistic camo has become increasingly mainstream, the Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Realtree sneakers feel almost destined. And yet, they’re still a great surprise.

Blending in to stand out

This Nike and Realtree Air Force 1 collaboration comes in three colorways, with each sporting different combinations and amounts of camouflage.

The first, and probably the biggest crowd-pleaser of the bunch, is the Rattan/Rocky Tan/Seal Brown/Multi-Color option. On this particular sneaker, the Realtree camo is relegated to the iconic Swoosh on either side, as well as the heel collar and tongue label.

The second, which has slightly more camo, is the Off Noir/Multi-Color/Gum Yellow/Multi-Color option. This one sees its camo pattern extended to the full heel and vamp, as well as the eyestays and around the toe, as well as the Swoosh, heel collar and tongue label.

And the last, the Multi-Color/Gum Yellow/Multi-Color, is completely camouflaged from toe to heel.

It’s also worth noting that all three models feature Realtree pattern insoles and their own unique outsole colors.

Trunked-up kicks

Alongside the stylistic differences between these sneakers, they also have some material dissimilarities, depending on which model you choose. But don’t fret; the overall silhouette remains intact.

For instance, the first option — the one that’s primarily brown and tan — has an all-leather upper. The other two, by contrast, feature full-textile uppers — a boon to anyone avoiding leather for whatever reason.

All three do share some commonalities, however. They all get a cozy foam midsole, Nike Air unit, padded collar and the silhouette’s signature rubber outsole with its classic pivot circles.

While these sneakers are not (to my knowledge) being sold at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s, they could do very well with the outdoorsy crowd. Even still, these could be a big hit and sell out quickly.
