One-of-a-Kind Patchwork Pillows for the Design-Conscious Free Spirit

A limited series of patchwork pillows made from vintage silks, overdyed linens, antique kilims and whatever else was lying around.

In keeping with the ’70s design resurgence, Los Angeles–based design studio Commune has teamed up with textile artist and designer Adam Pogue on a limited series of one-of-a-kind patchwork pillows. Made from collected vintage fabrics like overdyed linens, kilim rugs and silks, the mixed-media pillows are mostly neutral in color, but bold in composition.

Available in three sizes — a rectangular lumbar pillow ($720), oversize floor cushion ($1,426) and standard square pillow ($720) — the pillows are just as much works of art as they are decorative objects.
