At any given moment, the average home contains unseen houseflies, gnats, mosquitos or moths — far outnumbering those that make themselves visible. A new insect trap by Proctor & Gamble called Zevo puts an end to the “what you can’t see won’t hurt you” mindset. Zevo functions much like a plug-in air freshener, luring bugs with a combination of UV and blue light and trapping them with a sticky adhesive backing — no chemical insecticides in sight. It offers 45 days of protection per cartridge. Currently available through Zevo’s website and at The Home Depot, the trap starts at $13, with refills beginning at $6 for two cartridges.
