We’re Totally Obsessing Over This Minimal Scandinavian Bar Cart

Simultaneously blending in and conversation fodder.

What do you get when a premier lighting company from Scandinavia decides to make other stuff too? A completely kick-ass bar cart, apparently.

Last week Northern — formerly Northern Lighting — released its first collection of furniture. With pieces from 16 separate designers across seven countries, the overall vibe remains well within Northern’s Nordic heritage, but muted pastels, use of warm, dark wood and some cushy lux materials (check out the Yam Chair) gives it a cozier-than-normal feel.

Inside this treasure trove of delightful, Nordic-minimalist furniture sits an absolutely showstopping bar cart. The piece, named “Loud,” is a small, wheeled bar cart with an oak tabletop and two polished laminate swing doors that act as fuzzy mirrors for the room around it. Designed by Swede-French duo Färg & Blanche, there doesn’t seem to be an ETA on U.S. availability yet, but we’re waiting … rather impatiently.
