Founded by former employees of Tumi and Louis Vuitton, Arlo Skye released a piece of luggage that makes us want to buy a plane ticket just to use it. The direct-to-consumer travel goods company just released a premium compact carry-on with a sturdy polycarbonate shell, as opposed to the traditional aluminum. This shaves some weight off the case, but doesn’t lose much in the way of durability (the interior frame is aluminum, as are the corners). The carry-on also sports patented Silent Run Lisof wheels and a rechargeable and detachable 10,000 mAh battery to keep your electronics alive on layovers. It also keeps with Arlo Skye’s strict no-exterior-zipper policy, instead opting for a one-touch (if you know the code) open-close system to keep any potential tomfoolery at bay.
