One of America’s Best Breweries Made Hop-Infused Water for IPA Obsessives

Lagunitas’s Hop Water isn’t beer, but it’s meant to taste like it.

California-based Lagunitas Brewing Company just released a seltzer water infused with premium IPA hops. If it were any other stalwart brewery it may seem off-base, but it’s completely within Lagunitas’s trademark weirdness to release what amounts to hoppy soda water (this is the company that released a hoppy, THC-infused sparkling beverage not long ago).

Lagunitas Hop Water is non-alcoholic and carries zero carbohydrates or calories. A mix of Citra, Equinox, and Centennial hops are introduced to brewer’s yeast, which in turn releases the hops’ flavor into the water. The result is an IPA-like carbonated beverage, which the brand says is good to drink on its own or mix in cocktails.
