PK’s cast-aluminum charcoal grills are among our favorite charcoal grills money can buy. They’re simple, sturdy and reasonably priced. That’s what the folks behind PK hope to replicate with their new grilling accessory label, Fire & Smoke Society.
The brand launches with upgraded charcoal, fire starter, sauces and spice rubs. Its product seem to take a cue from PK’s grills — they’re not remaking the wheel, they’re just making products that outshine the competition.
The charcoal center-cut lump hardwood has been inspected by hand for consistency and absolutely no foreign materials or elements (it’s not uncommon to find nails and stray trash in cheap bags of lump coal). The firestarter bundles are hardwood trimmings coated in plant wax, maxing them flammable even in the rain and completely non-toxic. The spices, rubs and sauces are both plentiful and a bit different than what you can find at your grocery store. The catch? For now, its goods are only available at select dealers and brick-and-mortar stores.
