Last night, Harley-Davidson dropped its Chapter 2 Reveal, spotlighting a bunch of new and updated bikes joining the 2026 lineup.

Among the new models are the Street Glide and Road Glide Limited, five super-premium Custom Vehicle Operation (CVO) bikes and three Liberty Edition motos celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

I’ll be digging into some of those sweet rides in future stories, but for me, the most exciting announcement is an adventure bike truly engineered for the long haul.

That would be the 2026 Pan America 1250 Limited, the most loaded take on the brand’s game-changing ADV yet.

Factory-installed flex

What Harley has done here is essentially anticipate the needs of the most adventurous riders and factory-installed accessories that will serve them best.

That starts with the aforementioned game changer: storage capacity, courtesy of a rugged SW-MOTECH aluminum top case and side cases offering a total of 7,321 cubic inches (120 liters) of stash space for apparel, tools and other essentials.

Meanwhile, three other built-in accessories help protect the bike no matter how sendy you get in the gravel: a muffler guard, aluminum skid plate and radiator guard.

In another nod to off-road assistance, the rear brake and shifter pedals can be adjusted for optimal position when in the standing position adventure riders often adopt when the trails get gnarly.

Another feature that eases operation on any surface is a Screamin’ Eagle quickshifter, which enables clutchless up and down shifts without wrecking the transmission.

One final notable upgrade is purely aesthetic: three darkly dazzling color schemes (including Olive Steel Metallic, shown here) complemented by refined finishes on the high-powered Revolution Max 1250 motor.

Rider-friendly riches

As I noted in my review of the original Pan-America five years ago, that motor was specifically designed for this bike, and its specs are just as impressive today: the 1,252cc beast makes a whopping 150 horsepower and 94 ft-lbs of torque.

The bike also retains the innovative Adaptive Ride Height feature, which taps into the semi-active suspension to lower the seat when the bike comes to a stop, helping especially newer and smaller riders to put a foot or two firmly on the ground.

On the rider-friendly front, the 1250 Special also packs an alphabet soup of Rider-Safety Enhancements, including ABS (anti-lock brakes), ELB (electronic linked braking), TCS (traction control), DSCS (drag-torque slip control) — all of which have a cornering counterpart.

There’s also vehicle hold control, ensuring you don’t roll back when starting on a hill or ramp, built-in tire pressure monitoring and wheel lift mitigation, helping both wheels stay earthbound during aggressive maneuvers.

Many of these high-tech features are adjustable via the 6.8-inch color TFT touchscreen display, which also provides access to a whopping nine different ride modes.

Rounding things out are standard auxiliary lighting and the Daymaker Adaptive Headlamp, ensuring you can see and be seen no matter how off the beaten path you roam.

Availability and pricing

The 2026 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Limited will be available soon at authorized H-D dealerships globally starting at $26,499.
