While not a household name, Brabus is very well known in the motoring space for its aggressive, stylish high-performance automotive tuning. The brand has even dabbled in the two-wheeled space with a KTM collaboration.

However, the brand is taking the helm for the first time with its latest project, the Brabus Urban E First Edition. With the help of the French madmen at Dab Motors, this absolutely drop-dead gorgeous bike is an eye-catching city commuter with jaw-dropping torque.

Three-of-a-kind

Technically, this release actually encompasses three different bikes. The base bike is the Brabus Urban E, while the Brabus Urban E First Edition is a special release that sees some seriously stylish upgrades to that base bike.

Beyond their stylistic differences, however, they’re virtually the same bike with the same specs and performance. The third, however, flips the script on the collaboration. Called the Dab 1α Brabus, this is a Brabus-styled version of Dab’s existing flagship bike.

While the rest of the specs aren’t mind-blowing, the bike’s 350 lb-ft of torque packs a hell of a punch.

But back to the Brabus-led bikes. The standard Urban E is available in two color schemes: standard and Superblack. The standard is largely black with red highlights (a signature of Brabus) while the Superblack, as you might expect, is completely blacked out.

However, the First Edition sees that bike get a quartet of all-over colorways. That means the entirety of the bike, including the wheels, swingarm, forks and virtually everything else, is matchy-matchy. The available colors are Fusion Red, Superviolet (purple), Peetch (peach) and Desert Sand.

City-going stunner

The difference between these bikes and Brabus’s previous KTM collaboration is that the German tuner had a much larger hand in the design and construction of these bikes. For instance, the carbon fiber bodywork is entirely Brabus’s doing, as is the signature quilted seat.

But it’s important to note that this bike is, first and foremost, a showpiece. While the performance specs are … let’s call them respectable, they’re probably not quite what you’d expect from a $38k price point.

The striking First Edition is based on the base-model Urban E (pictured above). There’s also a third Dab 1α Brabus bike.

This is an e-bike, so make note of that. It offers a 93-mile range per charge (and a charge is 3.5 to 4.0 hours), top speed of 75 mph and a peak bhp of 35. Nothing mind-blowing, as stated.

However, it does have one jaw-dropping figure: it offers 350 lb-ft of torque, which will send you flying off the line (and maybe launch your eyeballs into the back of your head).

All that aside, there’s no denying the sheer curb appeal of this bike. It’s a looker if there ever was one, and it could hint at a larger two-wheeled future for Brabus.
