Today's cocktail party trivia: former NBA star Reggie Miller is huge into cycling. The 6'7" Pacers shooting guard is probably best known for terrorizing the Knicks in the mid-'90s, but these days his Instagram is loaded with badass bike pics.
And his latest post announces some even cooler news: he and Team BOOMBABY have partnered up with Castelli to release a "Say Their Names" jersey, with all proceeds going to the Equal Justice Initiative, which is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment, challenging racial and economic injustice and protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable Americans.
The jersey is festooned with powerful phrases emerging from the Black Lives Matter movement, including I CAN'T BREATHE, WE WON'T BE SILENT, TIME FOR CHANGE and of course SAY THEIR NAMES.
The jersey boasts several technical features as well, including breathable Prosecco Strada fabric, mesh side panels and three rear pockets for stashing snacks, tools and other essentials.
Team BOOMBABY and Castelli will match the dollar amount of proceeds on the first 100 kits sold. You can pre-order the jersey now for August delivery.
