Mammut Designs a Ski Backpack You’ll Never Have to Take Off

Thanks to two extra-large hipbelt pockets and a few innovative on-the-go features.

Mammut designed its fast and light Spindrift collection to solve that one, everlasting problem backpacks can’t seem to shake: access requires removal. The Spindrift allows its wearer to accomplish several tasks without that ordeal; most notably with a ready-to-deploy core windbreaker that stows in an oversized hipbelt pocket and a nifty detachable diagonal leash-style ski carry system. Those hipbelt pockets are big enough to accommodate additional need-to-access items too, such as climbing skins and snacks, and the main compartment can carry other essentials as any average pack would.

The Spindrift will be released later this year in 14-, 26- and 32-liter volumes.
