These Are the Most Innovative Outdoor Products Coming in 2019

This year’s ISPO award winners were announced and here are the four biggest game-changers in the outdoors category.

Each year, ISPO, the largest outdoor industry show in the world takes place in Munich looks at the leading brands in the sports and fitness industries and awards a handful of products the title of Product of the Year. These products are awarded this crown based on innovative design, new fabrics and other unique features. Product selection begins the year prior with a nomination phase by the brands themselves or others. An independent jury from 15 countries and four continents evaluates hundreds of videos to determine which products are game-changers and which are mere marketing fluff.

ISPO is one of the largest tradeshows in the world, and its awards are one of the most revered. Last year’s winners included Hydrapak’s revolutionary 8-liter reservoir, a jacket by Blackyak and Páramo and a BMC bike. This year, ISPO looked at the outdoors and fitness spaces with a bit more of a focus on sustainability.
