Arc’teryx has established itself as a major player in stylish, technical outerwear, but its latest release takes things up a notch.

The Subida Jacket, part of the brand’s newest System_A drop, combines urban tailoring with performance materials, yielding a lightweight shell that goes way beyond the basic windbreaker.

City styled, trail-ready

System_A is Arc’teryx’s fashion-forward sub-label that focuses on merging the brand’s technical materials and construction with a streetwear-inspired approach, targeting a younger, more progressive and style-conscious consumer.

The Subida Jacket continues that mission, joining a boxy, genderless fit with quietly technical details, all while prioritizing a comfortable, performance-oriented design.

The loose-fit silhouette is built with a 30d recycled nylon four-way stretch ripstop that’s breathable, wind resistant, rated UPF 50+ and water repellent, thanks to a FC0 DWR finish that repels moisture and is free from intentionally added PFAS.

The high-low hem provides extra coverage, while the stowable hood and two chest pockets add utility. The cinch waist, meanwhile, can be loosened or tightened depending on preference.

Branding is minimal up front, with the Arc’teryx name appearing on the right forearm; on the back, the brand’s oversized “dead bird” logo adds visual interest.

Although it’s marketed as a women’s jacket on the website, System_A as a whole takes a genderless approach to its designs, and this jacket’s easy-wearing, urban style could be worn by anyone with a penchant for cool outerwear.
