Leatherman’s multi-tools are among the most utilitarian and beloved EDC devices around. Their wide array of built-in functions makes them adept at tackling a huge variety of tasks, ranging from cutting to screwing and everything in between.
However, there’s always room for improvement. Recently, for instance, the brand introduced a quick-release pocket clip that enhanced the EDC-friendliness of some of its tools.
Now (and without any fanfare whatsoever), the brand has launched a counterpoint in the Leatherman Quick-Release Lanyard Ring, which fills the gaps the pocket clip misses.

As mentioned, this quick-release lanyard ring is a sort of counterpoint to the previously released pocket clip, but the two actually share some crucial elements in common.
Namely, the way the accessory attaches to multi-tools is identical. It’s a simple, easy-to-install clip-on, which utilizes a tab system to connect to its larger tool. It also detaches just as easily, as the name suggests.
