Founded in 1978, Spyderco is a beloved knifemaking brand known for making unique, formidable designs. Even still, some of the brand’s offerings are more quirky than others.
One of the brand’s most unconventional knives has just been brought back from extinction in an exclusive limited run with Blade HQ. If you missed it the first few times around, this is your chance to get your hands on the highly uncommon, compact Spyderco Dodo EDC knife.

Give ’em the bird
This version of the Spyderco Dodo remains true to the original knife in terms of its silhouette and metrics. That makes it among the brand’s smallest folding blades, but its handle and blade shape still offer plenty of utility.
The blade, a modified hawkbill shape, is a mere 2.06 inches in length, making this a viable carry option even for folks in places with strict blade length restrictions. The handle adds another four or so inches, bringing the whole thing up to 6.25 inches overall.
The cherry on top of the cake is probably the Ball Bearing Lock, a patented design that functions as Spyderco’s take on the crossbar.
