Streetwear fanatics have long adopted the North Face’s apparel and gear. However, the outdoor brand has recently been leaning further into that association itself.
In another major step in that direction, The North Face and New York-based brand Aimé Leon Dore have collided on a limited-edition collaboration that elevates some of the former brand’s most iconic staples.

Icons reimagined
There are some obvious winners in this collection — namely, the upscale reimaginings of TNF’s iconic Nuptse and Denali jackets. While these staples bear their signature silhouettes, some significant material swaps make them feel brand-new.
For instance, the former (the Nuptse) boasts a completely reimagined exterior. Instead of nylon, it’s now made from Casentino Wool — a Tuscan classic — sourced from a venerated mill in southern Italy.
Those worried about the Nuptse’s weatherproofing need not fret, however, as the material’s “ratinatura” finish gives it thermal insulation and water repellency.
