We Knife Launches a Formidable Military Tactical Flipper with Stealth to Spare

A highlight of the brand’s new Armed Forces-Inspired Collection, this stunning slicer is also a performance powerhouse.

We Knife is among the most prolific knifemaking brands on the market today. In fact, if you include the other marques under its umbrella, Civivi and Sencut, this triple-threat might put out more new, unique designs than any other.

Yet, even by that standard, the brand’s latest collection is an impressive output. The Armed Forces-Inspired Collection comprises eight silhouettes, each with three configurations, for a grand total of 24 SKUs.

While it’s hard to play favorites, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the We Knife Muster is among the highlights.

Passing muster

This sizable military collection is broken up into knives inspired by four branches — Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines — with two silhouettes for each branch. The Muster is one of the two Army-inspired folding knives, alongside the Reveille.

As mentioned, the Muster also gets three distinct colorways. However, those colors aren’t random; they’re directly inspired by the military branch it’s meant to evoke.

As such, one is done entirely in OD green, a classic Army (and military) color if there ever was one. Another is completely blacked out, which is not necessarily referential to any existing service or combat uniform, but is common for special training and physical fitness uniforms.

Lastly, the most striking one of all boasts a multicam handle pattern with a combination black-and-silver blade. There are also other elements referential to the Army, like the star icon on both the handle and thumb stud — a direct reference to the Army’s “Army Strong” emblem introduced in 2006 (as well as the one issued to generals and used in awards).

Army strong

While the styling certainly helps set this knife apart, it’s the materials and mechanisms that really shine. This isn’t some throwaway appearance package; this knife lives up to the Army’s legendary toughness and precision.

That starts with a Böhler M390 super steel blade. With a thick spine and aggressive styling, this 3.81-inch slicer is built for high performance. Furthermore, the coating adds some extra durability. It also gets a thumb stud deployment and has spine jimping for extra leverage when you need it.

That blade is mated to a lightweight, ultra-tough titanium handle, which features a matching tip-down, right-hand-carry pocket clip. Furthermore, the handle gets an old standard locking mechanism, a frame lock. While not novel, it’s incredibly strong and is a classic for a reason.

Altogether, the knife measures 8.81 inches, putting it firmly on the beefy, intimidating side of the EDC knife spectrum. Yet, it still folds down to a manageable 4.98 pocket-friendly inches. As eye-catching as it is, this isn’t a showpiece; it’s a tool designed for punishing work.

The We Knife Muster is now available for preorder on the brand’s official site for $430 or $440, depending on the colorway you choose.
