Designer Waris Ahluwalia Calls for Change


After being barred from boarding a flight in Mexico for wearing a turban, designer Waris Ahluwalia called for further employee training on sensitivity to religious passengers. He told New York magazine, “It’s not just about Sikhs. If what happens to me today results in a policy change so that no one else has to go through this, then it was worth it.”

Burberry Sues J.C. Penney

Burberry took legal action against J.C. Penney this week for selling coats that included exact copies of the “Burberry check” pattern. The signature check has been a trademark of Burberry since the 1920s.

Grailed Launches App and Top List


Grailed, a premium menswear marketplace, launched its app this week. In beta, there were no fees charged to sellers, but after the launch, there is a 6 percent fee (still less than eBay’s 10 percent). To herald the launch, the site curated a sale with 100 top picks of rare men’s style pieces.
