Levi’s Latest Collaboration Blends Vintage Americana with Streetwear

A seven-piece capsule with everything from jeans to caps.

The new Levi’s Made and Crafted x Poggytheman Collection blends elements of vintage Americana with streetwear. The seven-piece collection is designed by Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi, the creative director of Japanese brand United Arrows and Sons, and is inspired by the style of movie stars like Steve McQueen and James Dean, vintage WWII-era workwear and high-fashion silhouettes.

Poggy is a street style icon frequently photographed at fashion events across the world, so naturally, he brought an element of his personal style to the collaboration. A traditional chore coat is cut from neon yellow denim, a western shirt is cut from turquoise denim and a band-collar work shirt features a drapey silhouette with an elongated hemline. The two trousers in the collection are vintage pieces: a pair of straight-leg overalls and Steve McQueen jeans that have a tapered fit and no back yoke.

Made entirely in Japan, the collection ranges in price from $48 to $398. It’s a unique take on a selection of Levi’s classics and is already a big hit — though the collab just hit the website, some pieces have already sold out.
