If you’ve purchased a suit from Brooks Brothers, J.Crew, Suitsupply or any other major maker of tailored clothing in the past few years, chances are you’ve at least touched fabric from Vitale Barberis Canonico. The storied Italian company has been turning out wool since 1663, which (probably) makes it the oldest woolen mill in the world. And now thanks to a partnership with Chicago-based Tie Bar, its quality is even easier than ever to grab.
The two partnered on a collection of seven neckties and two bow ties made from Barberis’ high-quality wools. That they’re each priced for $35 is a feat of economics we don’t quite understand: Barberis ties anywhere else will run you upward of $80.
The best part? You can find the ties on The Tie Bar’s website or at any of its six stores.
